1st Salvo of Moon Cake Festival with traditional dice game offered by FFCCCII to the Media Practitioners

September 30,  2017 – This year marked your calender on October’s 4 (Wednesday Night) for Mid – Autumn Festival commonly known as Moon Festival.

The Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry ,Inc (FFCCCII) launched the  first ever Luncheon Moon Festival held at 7th floor, Federation Center, Muelle de Binondo, City of Manila.

FFCCCII since 1954 as a group of Entrepreneurs  not only empowering economic development but always devoted time in reaching out less priviledge communities by means of donating public school building in far flang areas of the countries. Also, an active fire volunteer brigades and other endeavor.

An interesting and enjoyable traditional dice games  or pwa tiong chew played by each media table and had a coach. On our table Demry Cheng , CEO of Philippine Dragon Media Network and Anchor on CNTV served as coach. Each player targeting the

 red dice with a corresponding prizes of different variety of special hopia. Followed by raffle for the members of the press as a way of expressing thanksgiving on Mooncake Festival. On the ancient times that every 15 th day of the 8 th month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar with full moon at night, usually occur last week of September to first week of October in Western Gregorian Calendar. Other Asian places as followed; China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia observe the celebration.

Present on the occassion are; Jeffrey T.Ng – Vice President of FFCCCII,  Mary Go Ng, Geoge Siy, Lily Lim, Wilson Lee Flores as Chairman of Media & Public Information Committee also a fellow journalist, Engr. Albino Sy and other members of FFCCCII.

I-TECH launch for Filipino Inventors 

 The program Innovation and Technology Lending Program or I- TECH was held at Philippine International Convention Center ( PICC) last September 28, 2017. This is a joint program of Department of Sciencr and Technology- Technology Application and Promotion Institute ( DOST- TAPI).

On the press conference the question from www.diaryongtagalog.net the Landbank assured that its only 45 days in processed providing the borrower inventors are complete will all necessary document like the business plan and the validation of business cash flow which the TAPI is willing to assist the Filipino Inventors.

According to  Engr. Edgar I. Garcia, Director of DOST- TAPI, Especially for start up  to commercialize their viable invention their office is always welcome.

On the interview of www.diaryongtagalog.net with LandBank President Alex V. Buenaventura said that they coordinated with there difference branches to make aware on the said I- TECH program.

the National Conference on Distance e-Learning (NCODel2017) this November


The 5th National Conference on Open and Distance e-Learning hosted by the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) with the theme ” Philippine Education in the Age of Openness”. To be held at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas on November 22- 23, 2017.

 The two (2) days conference aims to provide participants — i.e. administrators and academics, teachers and researchers from higher education institutions (HEIs) and technical and vocational institutes (TVIs) — with a better understanding of the concepts, principles, and methodologies of open learning, distance education, and technology-supported learning, in line with the Republic Act 10650 or the Open and Distance Learning Act of the Philippines.

 To encourage more participants, the deadline for sending abstracts for the upcoming 5th National Conference on Open and Distance e-Learning (NCODeL 2017) has been moved to 30 September 2017.

The Commission on Higher Education grants conference fellowships to HEI personnels who shall participate in NCODEL 2017. Application to the CHED Conference Fellowship will be accepted until 15 October 2017.
