Former Department of Tourism Secretary Mina Gabor still is the most qualified applicant among others that are applying for the Tourism Secretary post in the incoming administration of President Elect Rodrigo Duterte.
Given her track record for the past administrations she has worked with, Dr. Gabor made the tourism sector in the country more lively, vibrant and profitable not only to affluent hi-end in the tourism sector but to the ordinary workers most especially in the rural areas according to the officers and members of the Central Luzon Media Association and the Central Luzon Media Association Bulacan Chapter.
.Her programs and projects then paved the way to the benefits being reaped today by the local tourism industry particularly the influx of tourist both foreign and local to more beautiful, scenic, historical and must-see places in the 7,107 islands of the archipelago.
Merging trade and tourism for job, opportunity, livelihood and business is the goal behind her founding of the World Trade Center and CITEM now under the Department of Trade and Industry.
In her personal advocacy on women in labor, she became part of the Department of Labor and Employment as a Senior Board Member for 10 years also she has become an Honorary Consul to the Maldives and a part of the Pasay Tourism Council.
Dr. Mina Gabor is the President of the International School for Sustainable Tourism at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. Mostly a lot has been said and done in regard to the numerous admirable credentials of Dr. Gabor but for the information of the public, she also is incline with history and she values the greatness of our fallen heroes in the previous wars our country has engaged in.
Back in April 11, 2016, she heads the 2nd Capas Freedom March held in Capas Tarlac commemorating the heroism and patriotism of our World War 2 veterans.
