2 MUSLIM SENATORIAL BET GRACED BMACC 5TH ANNIVERSARY
MALOLOS CITY, BULACAN-IN the celebration of the 5th Anniversary of the Bulacan Muslim Affairs Consultative Council (BMACC) senatorial bets from the Liberal Party and an Independent candidate graced the celebration November 11, 2015 at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in the Provincial Capitol compound.
Led by its co-Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Hadji Yahya Gamor, the BMACC is an umbrella organization aimed at consolidating the entire Muslim population of Bulacan and in view of the upcoming 2016 polls it also accommodated candidates who would share advocacies and platforms of government in the interest of the Muslims outside Mindanao.
Present are two keynote speakers such as Assistant Secretary Bai Nariman Ina A. Ambolodto from the Department of the Interior and Local Government who will run for Senator under the wing Liberal Party and HRH Sultan Sharif Ibrahim Albani who is currently an envoy from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Both candidates, male and female talked about peace, security and the Bangsamoro Basic law but Albani tackles more on cooperation and unity mon the divided Muslim tribes of the country, e encourages cooperation among Muslims, Christians and the Indigenous People because he says that they are being recognized by the United Nation as a ”Nation within a Nation”.
Also present is the gubernatorial candidate of the Province of Basilan, Datu Ameer Jhul Arab H. Sampang. The BMACC was created in 2010 through an executive order signed by Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado which he personally chairs as Chairman with the aim of unifying the divided Bulacan Muslim population and attends to its welfare ad security.
Included in the program are gift giving of goods coming from the Provincial Government and in a raffle, two cellular phones are given away courtesy of Malolos City Councilor Rico Capule. About an estimated 50,000 plus Muslims resides in Bulacan belonging to tries like Tausug, Yakan, Iranon, Maguindanao, and the Maranao Business People not aside from the tagalog converts called “Balik Islam” which comprises of professionals, academe, media and those working in the government.///Michael Balaguer
