Nagsama sama ang mga Kababaihang Lider sa industriya ng Halal sa Pilipinas sa ginanap na National Women Leaders Halal Industry Advancement Summit na May temang Empowering Women in the Halal Industry for Sustainable Growth.

ginanap nitong March 25 2025 sa Philippine Trade Training Center at pinangunahan ng Arkat Lawanen Incorporated founder Amielyn Limbona. Mga lider kababaihan na ang mga negosyo ay nakatuon sa Halal o mga kababaihang Muslim na ang negosyo ay nasa sektor ng halal at mga lider kababaihan sa pangkalahatan.

Mga representante ng National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) kung saan ginamit na venue ang kanilang tanggapan sa nasabing makabuluhang aktibidad sa kasagsagan ng Banal na buwan ng ramadhan.

Nakapanayam rin ng kapatid na publikasyon ng pahayagang ito (www.dzmjonline.net) si Ginoong Elcid C Pangilinan, OIC President ng Overseas Filipino Bank, ang digital Bank ng landbank of the Philippines na naghikayat sa mga nagsidalo na OFW na mag impok sa bangko at inilahad ang mga kabutihan nito para sa kanila bilang nagtatrabaho sa ibayong dagat.

at sa bahagi naman ng mga katutubong kababaihan ay ang tagapangulo ng komisyon para sa mga katutubo na si Chairperson Bae Jenifer Limpayen Sibug-las ng National Commission on Indigenous Peoples at ang mga programang ginagawa ng kanyang komisyon para sa ikabubuti ng sektor kalakip ang kanyang mensahe:

Magandang araw po sa inyong lahat. Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. It is both an honor and a privilege to stand before you today at the first-ever National Women Leaders’ Summit on Halal Industry Advancement. I extend my deepest gratitude to Arkat Lawanen Inc., the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, and all our partners for creating this platform where women from diverse backgrounds can come together to strengthen the halal industry and promote sustainable growth.
As an Indigenous woman from Mindanao, I have seen firsthand the hands that cultivate our lands—the hands of Indigenous women. In many communities, it is these women who till the soil, plant the crops, and harvest the food that sustains their people. They are not just farmers; they are providers, nurturers, and protectors of our ancestral lands. Ngunit, sa kabila ng kanilang napakahalagang papel sa kanilang mga pamayanan, patuloy silang napag-iiwanan.
Many Indigenous women endure economic hardship, land dispossession, and systemic inequities. They continue to suffer not because of their capacity, but because of deep-seated barriers based on their race, ethnicity, and gender. They continue to face challenges such as limited market access, lack of financial support, and the absence of strong policy frameworks that acknowledge their role in developing their communities. Ito ang dapat nating tugunan—ang siguruhing ang bawat katutubong kababaihan ay may pantay na oportunidad upang lumago at maging bahagi ng pag-unlad.
At the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), we remain steadfast in our commitment to protecting the rights of Indigenous women and ensuring that they are empowered not only as participants in sustainable economic initiatives but also as leaders for economic growth. Through policy advocacy, capacity-building programs, socio-economic assistance, and collaborative networks like this, we are committed to providing Indigenous women with the tools and support they need to thrive.
But this work is not ours alone. As women leaders, it is our shared duty to uplift and empower those who have long been unheard and underserved. We call on all stakeholders—government agencies, private sector partners, civil society organizations, and fellow women leaders—to continue working together. Hindi lang bilang tagapagtaguyod sa industriya ng halal, kundi bilang katuwang sa pagpapalakas ng kababaihang Katutubo.
As we move forward with today’s event, may we all be reminded of our shared mission: to build an inclusive, ethical, and sustainable economy where no woman—especially our Indigenous women—is left behind. Let us celebrate their strengths, invest in their potential, and amplify their voices.
