UNITED TAUSUG CITIZEN ENDORSED DATU SALIPADA A. AMIR HUSSIN PHD FOR THE PHILIPPINE SENATE

Manila, PHILIPPINES- The United Tausug Citizen of the Sultanate of Sulu based in Butan, City of Indanan in the Province of Sulu through it’s Chairman ang Sultan endorsed the candidacy for the Philippine Senate of it’s beloved son, Datu Salipada A. Amir Hussin Ph.D.

In a letter dated October 3, 2024 to His Excellency Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., the Chairman and Concurrent Sultan Sultan Sharif Jubair Bin Muhammad Shariful Hashim Amirul Mu minin, Datu Salipada A. Amin Hussin Ph.D. was being endorsed and has an urgent appeal to be included in the Senatorial Slate of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), The political party chaired by President Marcos Jr.

According to the letter of the UTC Dr. Amir Hussin’ participation to be elected in the upper house of the Philippine congress (Senate) is the staging point by which the Sultanate of Sulu could have it’s representative to the central government in Manila.

The last Tausug Senator hailed from the Sulu Archipelago is the late Senator Santanina Rasul. To date, although Senator Abdul Azis Robinhood Carino Padilla is a Muslim he cannot represent the Sultanate of Sulu. The people of Sulu hope and pray that President Marcos Jr. would listen and appreciate the lessons of history.
